The Poongmul group of the Korean Traditional Percussion Institute is a professional arts organization that was established with the purpose to inform the world about the uniqueness and the greatness of traditional Korean music as well as pass down and research the traditional Korean music.

The members of the group studied Korean traditional art in college and gained the skills of traditional singing, dancing and music. They have contributed in showing the world the great traditional performing art of Korea by performing in many international stages such as World Dance Festival in Spain and won first place in the 10 th Seoul Traditional Korean Music Competition.
