Senegal-based group SAFARA is a traditional percussion group created in 1993 by Ass M'Boup of Senegal.

"SAFARA" means "fire" in Senegalese, and the members are from Senegal and Zambia who have been playing the drums from a very young age. They are all born into a musical family and music always has been the most important part of their lives.

The tradition and culture of their ancestors are embedded in African music, and the instruments like DJEMBE, Sabar, Doum Doum, Soroumba, Tama and Kora have been playing important roles in preserving the culture.

In this year's festival, SAFARA is planning to give performance dressed in the traditional costumes and instruments, and their dance will impress the audience and allow them to witness the culture.
